A country I'd like to visit

For me, there are some staffs that I’m really interested about. Music, history, culture, people. Specially people. I’ve always thought that if you want to know a city or a country, you have to taking contact with someone who has lived or lives in that place. Moreover, if you want to walk into some interesting streets or go to a folk traditional concert, a “story teller” is always the best choice. Considering this, I mean, the human factor as an important tool to create amazing places from the experience to share with its people, I’d like to visit England, because since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated about its music culture, the cold-grey face of its streets and that kind of rock atmosphere that surrounds cities like London and Liverpool. If someday I can travel to Liverpool, I’d like to go to all the rock-and-roll bars, like The Cavern Club, and the inevitable photo with the Buckingham palace in London, hearing in my head the classic “good save the queen” of the Sex Pistols. Share with its people in all this places would be so amazing! Finally I’d love to study in London, maybe a few fears doing a post graduate program into an old and prestigious university like Oxford, Cambridge or the London of Economics School.

TV and Movies

I like movies. Specially on Sunday’s afternoon. For that reason I’m not used to go to the cinema or rent films. For me, the ideal scene is downloads movies from some web site as “cuevana” into the commodity of my bedroom. I have too many “favorites movies”, but one the most amazing for me is a movie called Blow up, a very underground English movie, it’s about a photographer who discover a murder when he develop a photo. I really love this movie because its photography is absolutely beautiful, the colors, the music, the characters, everything on it are so sophisticated and cool. I think that I have seen it like 10 times or a bit more and I obviously recommend it if you want to have a good time.
About the Chilean TV, I’m not a fan of it, but I usually see its program. I prefer the American one, because is funnier and creative than the Chilean one, and in terms of sensationalism and soups I think that they get it. Reality shows like Keeping up with the Kardashian are one of my favorites. And finally if someday someone decides to make a film about my life, I’d like that my film would be a comedy-drama, and hope you can laugh and cry a lot!

A new and strange term

My expectations about this term aren’t so hopeful, the Santiago’s weather is very suffocating, and to be far away from my family for this time, it is kind of difficult to me. But I like so much my career, and I have very good friends here, so I trust that this term is going to be funny no matter what. Now I’m taking 5 subjects related with policy science, international affairs, public management theory, financial management of the state, and human resources.Studying at Christmas time has been so hard too. In my case, I couldn’t travel to my home, which is located in Arica, because I had too much tests on that period. On the other hand, studying in summer in Santiago is one of the most uncomfortable situations that I have ever lived in my university life. I’m from Arica; I used to pass my holiday time sitting on the sand, taking sun, having fun, not reading books or studying all night long for some test

My blog experience...

The blog experience has been fun, it is a different way to learn, practice and imagine ideas in english, if talk in english it is difficult, write your ideas and make it work it is difficult too, but this hard works, it is the clue to improve our master in english.

In my opinion, the exercise made in this blog, it was so useful to improve my english, because I have to make sentences in a coherent way, to check every word, every verb, every adjective that make up the sentence and also I learn a lot of new words.

The use of the blog it is a great tool to practice and improve the master of knowledge, but I think that it could be less frecuency, I mean, write on blog twice at month and in the other classes some exercise related to the oral practice of english, maybe some oral presentations, some short dialogues, to try to improve our pronunciation too. But the blog experience should be a constant activity in the english class. It was so useful, and practice!!

The right girl in the right place...

My ideal job would be to work in some international organization related to social help, or related to international relationships. In my opinion the skills or qualities to get this job would be: first of all the master of english, the master of economical and political theories and the master of human resources, I mean dealing with people. I think that I'm going to be good for this job because I really want to do it, which is an important step, and because I feel that I will be qualified to do it, not only in academic way, but also in a personal one: I am a persistent person, I like to know new places, new people, new languages, new lifestyles, I think that I could resist to live in another country, with a different culture and a different lifestyle, as the same way that I am now living in Santiago without my family, and old friends, finding the beauty of this place and my new life.
But the real difficulty to find this kind of job will be to get the oportunity to apply for it, to get to master all the qualities that I mentioned before in the right moment, in the moment of the decision to appoint the professional who will be encharged to represent Chile or any kind of Institution abroad, I mean the right man in the right place, but in my case the right girl in the right place...
